Am I ready for a puppy?

Updated: Apr 8

Give me all the puppies! I love baby puppies, and want them all! I see someone's sweet baby puppy, and it makes me want one too! The harsh reality is that sometimes, due to our season in life, it may not be the best time to add a puppy.

A lifetime commitment for a puppy could be 15+ years. Taking the time to think it through and make sure it's the right time can help save a lot of frustration and disappointment. Taking on a new furry companion is a big responsibility. Here are a few things to consider before making that big step.

  1. Time

  2. Finances

  3. Lifestyle

  4. Space

  5. Responsibility

  6. Training

  7. Home

  8. Choosing a dog

Don't let the excitement of adding a puppy, override the decisions that need to be made. A puppy is a big responsibility, and an even bigger financial investment. If you want to know how to enjoy your puppy and teach it to be a welcome family member, contact us.
